Every Atem X is tested for high removal of allergens, bacteria, viruses, and ultrafine particles that affect respiratory comfort. With HyperHEPA HF technology, it captures PM2.5 and pollutants down to 0.003 microns, far beyond ordinary HEPA. Independent laboratory testing shows the Atem X achieves exceptionally high removal rates for airborne microorganisms linked to infections, including viruses and bacteria. Tested performance includes 99.9% very high removal rate of influenza A (H1N1), and human coronavirus (HCoV-229E), enterovirus 71 (EV71), E. coli, and Staphylococcus bacteria. BionicCore™ Technology
IQAir’s proprietary BionicCore technology powers the Atem X with higher airflow, lower noise, and improved efficiency in a slimmer design. A high-performance centrifugal fan sits at the center, surrounded by an orbital structure with 35 aerodynamically optimized airflow fins that guide air smoothly through the filtration stages. Combined with acoustic engineering that reduces sound, this design cleans more air than many conventional box or tower purifiers, while using less energy, ideal for space-conscious Singapore homes.
HyperHEPA HF Smart Filter Technology
Stage 1: Impaktors
Atem X uses three Impaktor units, each with 195 precision-engineered blades, to intercept larger particles like coarse dust, hair, and fibres before they reach the main filters. This helps maintain airflow and reduces premature clogging, extending filter life.
Stage 2: HyperHEPA HF Filters
Atem X uses three HyperHEPA® HF filters designed for high filtration efficiency without sacrificing airflow or filter life. Its multi-layer 3D structure captures ultrafine pollutants down to 0.003 microns, including PM2.5, allergens, mould spores, bacteria, and viruses, far smaller than ordinary HEPA. Each filter includes smart RFID monitoring to track usage and performance based on airflow and pollution load, then alerts you when replacement is needed, helping maintain consistent purification and long filter life of up to 12 months.

This is made possible by Flexible Air Rotation (FAR) technology. The Atem X is suspended from a sturdy aluminium stand, allowing for a free 320° rotation around its central pivot point. This enables effortless single-handed adjustment of the clean air stream to accommodate the room’s shape and the positioning of the air purifier. Tip: On a hot summer day, you can even direct the air stream to a specific part of the room for a refreshing cool breeze.
